On the afternoon of November 27, at the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuy Phuoc commune (Gia Lai province), the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund - Lao Dong Newspaper (Golden Heart Fund) presented 50 million VND to support people in Tuy Phuoc commune to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.
From this funding source, the Golden Heart Fund supported 20 million VND in cash for the family of Mr. Ho Thanh Hai (born in 1956, residing in Dieu Tri village) - a household whose house was severely damaged, no longer able to work, and rebuild their lives. At the same time, 15 gifts, each worth 2 million VND, were presented to 15 households affected by storm No. 13 and the recent historic flood.

On this occasion, the Golden Heart Fund continues to support Tuy Phuoc Tay commune and Quy Nhon Bac ward - localities that suffered heavy damage in the series of natural disasters - with 50 million VND per unit to overcome the consequences.
Coolidation after natural disasters
Tuy Phuoc commune is considered the flood center of Gia Lai, which often suffers heavy damage every time a storm or flood swept through. Houses with unroofed roofs, deep flooding, and even collapsed have become a familiar obsession.
However, the recent historic storm and flood have far exceeded the people's ability to endure, stripping them both economically and spiritually, sweeping away their livelihoods and leaving a landslide across a rural area.

Coming to the sea to receive support for relatives, Ms. Vo Thi Ngoc Binh (45 years old, residing in Huynh Mai village) was still moved when talking about the house devastated by the storm and flood of her 8-year-old guide - Ms. Do Thi Thanh.
"Thim is old, does not work for money, and is often sick. Since his death, for the past 3 years, Tim has not had anyone to rely on. Living next to a beggar's house, my family was not well off, but we could only eat a beggar's inheritance.
The recent storm swept away the entire roof of the club. After saving some money to buy repair materials, the flood came and submerged everything. Now I have to go to my house to stay temporarily, and my house is exposed in the sky," Ms. Binh choked up.

Knowing that there was a group to support, Ms. Thanh was very happy but her health was poor, so she had to ask Ms. Binh to take her place. "For now, we are only supported with food and drinks. Now that I have more money to repair my house, I am very happy," said Ms. Binh.
In the same situation, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong (41 years old, residing in Huynh Mai village) said that the roof was partially blown away by the storm, the walls cracked, and then the flood swept away the furniture. "My children's clothes and books were also submerged in water. In difficult times, this support money helps a lot. I don't know what to say, I'm so happy! ".
Sharing food and clothes, overcoming hardship together
According to statistics, after 2 consecutive storms and floods, Tuy Phuoc commune suffered economic losses of nearly 900 billion VND. Ms. Le Thi Vinh Huong - Secretary of Tuy Phuoc Commune Party Committee - said that the two fierce natural disasters caused severe damage to houses, properties, works and crops... of the people.
"Immediately after the storm and flood, food, provisions, and medicine were promptly delivered to the people, helping them feel reassured and have more strength to overcome the critical stage," said Ms. Huong.

According to her, at this time, people need economic support the most to restore their livelihoods, repair their houses, and buy lost items. The gifts and funds of the Golden Heart Fund are a timely source of encouragement, helping people gradually stabilize their lives after natural disasters.
"This is a very valuable sharing. The cooperation of the Golden Heart Fund - Lao Dong Newspaper and benefactors shows the spirit of sharing food and clothes, together overcoming hardship", Ms. Huong expressed.
On behalf of the local government and people, Ms. Huong sent her deep gratitude to the Golden Heart Fund for their special affection and attention for the flooded area of Tuy Phuoc.
"It is really surprising and touching that the Golden Heart Fund - Lao Dong Newspaper has given so much support to our people," said Ms. Huong.
