Transferring charity money to personal accounts - is it okay?

From December 6, 2025, social networks have spread posts questioning the financial transparency of the Nuoi Em project.
Strong and weak soldiers worry
In response to opinions circulating on social networks, the Nuoi Em Project said that it had compiled all feedback, questions and comments appearing on official media channels and social networks. The responsible group also held a meeting with key members to review and compare information.
Sharing with Lao Dong reporter, Ms. Truong Nguyen Khanh Linh (born in 2004, Hanoi) - who adopted a child in the Nourishing Project founded by Mr. Hoang Hoa Trung - said: "Regarding costs, to raise a child, the amount to be transferred is 1.45 million VND/school year. I can divide it into 3 sessions in a year to contribute. During this process, I transferred the money to Mr. Hoang Hoa Trung's personal account, along with the content of the note of his adopted child's code."

However, Ms. Linh said that recently, there have been many questions about the financial transparency of the project on social networks, so her current confidence is quite low.
"I used to believe in the project because the idea was very clear and specific, each person would be responsible for a meal of a child with their own code and clear information. However, recent information about the matchmaking of breeding codes and issues related to financial transparency has made me very worried.
I don't want my kindness to be taken advantage of. Therefore, I decided to temporarily suspend the contribution until the project has a transparent and clear report or legal intervention to resolve these issues" - Ms. Linh said.
Ms. Linh shared that if the project representative does not have a satisfactory answer, she will look to other more reputable charitable organizations or do charity work directly to feel more secure.
