On March 20, according to the preliminary report of the Lang Son Provincial Election Commission, 1,419/419 constituencies in the area organized the opening ceremony on schedule, ensuring solemnity and proper procedures.
The voting took place from 7 am to 7 pm on March 15, continuously, safely and in accordance with the law.
On election day, Lang Son had 17 voters over 100 years old participating in voting.
The whole province has 55/65 communes and wards reaching a voter turnout rate of 100%; 1,400 polling areas also reached a rate of 100%.
In addition, the election atmosphere in localities was joyful and responsible.
Many voters came early to exercise their citizenship rights, with the spirit of "going to the polls first, going to festivals later". Public opinion about the election and candidates is basically stable and positive.
The Provincial Election Commission also said that traffic, communication, and electricity for the election day were ensured to be smooth.
The political security and social order and safety situation is stable, with no complicated incidents or hotspots affecting the voting process.
Regarding preliminary results, Lang Son has no electoral units or polling areas that have to re-elect or hold additional elections; nor has any place had its results canceled due to serious violations of the law.
According to the statistics attached to the report, at the level of National Assembly deputies elections, the number of valid votes reached 613,442, equivalent to 99.72% of the votes collected.
With the Provincial People's Council (PC), the number of valid votes reached 613,057, equivalent to 99.66%.
At the commune level, the number of voters participating in voting reached 99.92%, the number of valid votes was 574,666, equivalent to 95.26%.
Regarding the structure of elected people, among the 7 National Assembly deputies of the province, there are 1 female, 3 ethnic minorities, 1 re-elected deputy; the proportion of postgraduate graduates reached 71.43%.
For the Provincial People's Council, 50 elected people include 14 women, accounting for 28%; 28 people are ethnic minorities, accounting for 56%.
At the commune level, 1,271 elected delegates had 422 women, accounting for 33.2%; 996 people were ethnic minorities, accounting for 78.36%.
