Quang Tri - A little girl was taken to the medical center because of an earache. Upon examination, a swarm of parasitic mites were found inside.

On the afternoon of December 24, Dakrong District Medical Center (Quang Tri Province) confirmed that the unit had just treated a child patient with a swarm of parasitic mites in his ear.

Previously, on December 20, Dakrong District Medical Center received a 6-year-old patient, residing in Ruong village (Huong Hiep commune, Dakrong district) with symptoms of pain and bleeding in the ear; an endoscopy was performed and found ticks inside. Afterwards, the endoscopy team nurses removed a swarm of ticks from the girl's ear.

It is known that this type of tick often parasitizes dogs and cats. The patient's family said that the child often comes into contact with dogs.
