On the evening of September 9, Vinh Xuong Commune Police (An Giang province) said that they had coordinated with functional forces to find the missing 11-month-old baby and bring him back to his family safely.
Accordingly, the baby was found in the Chau Doc ward area, more than 30km from the point of disappearance. Leaders of Vinh Xuong Commune Police said that the baby was found in stable condition, not being disturbed or crying. The baby's mother is in difficult circumstances, with limited awareness, selling lottery tickets in Thuong Phuoc commune, Dong Thap province and Vinh Xuong commune, An Giang province.
The baby was found in a rented room in Chau Doc ward. Chau Doc ward police received information and based on the characteristics matching the missing baby, they notified Vinh Xuong Commune Police to confirm and carry out procedures to receive the baby. Seeing the baby abandoned by his mother outside the clothing stall, the couple without children carried the baby away.
As previously reported, on the afternoon of September 7, 2026, Vinh Xuong Commune Police received a report from Ms. N.T. M. H (born in 1995, residing in Dong Thap province) about her daughter's disappearance.
At about 1:30 pm on September 7, 2026, Ms. H brought her young child named N.T. M. T (about 11 months old) while choosing old clothes at a 0-dong clothing stall (old clothes for the side of National Highway 80B) in Phu Loc hamlet, Vinh Xuong commune, An Giang province, when 2 strangers (1 male, 1 female) came to talk.
At this time, Ms. H's baby girl was being played on the floor at the clothing stall. Ms. H left her child at the stall, then took the bag of clothes and ran down to send it to a coffee shop about 50m away, then returned and did not see baby T anywhere.
Leaders of Vinh Xuong Commune Police said that the child's family's circumstances are difficult. At the time of receiving the report, the unit coordinated with functional forces and people to mobilize forces to search everywhere.
After finding the baby, the family wrote a letter of thanks to Vinh Xuong Commune Police and Chau Doc Ward Police for supporting the family in finding the baby and bringing him back safely.
