    Hai Duong - People in Quang Minh commune, Gia Loc district have just discovered an abandoned baby girl.

    On the afternoon of October 30, speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Huu Bien - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Minh Commune, Gia Loc District, Hai Duong Province said that an abandoned baby girl over 1 year old was discovered in the commune.

    At around 9pm on October 29, Ms. Tran Thi Thu Van from Minh Tan village, Quang Minh commune went to exercise at Tram Bong market area when she heard the sound of a baby crying. Ms. Van saw a little girl standing alone, next to the baby was a bag of clothes and a letter left by the baby's mother.

    After that, Ms. Van informed the local authorities and took the baby home to take care of her. The baby girl had an initial health check and was still healthy and developing normally. Currently, the baby girl is being cared for by Ms. Van's family.

    According to Mr. Bien, the locality has posted information about the girl’s relatives on mass media. After the announcement period, if no one comes to claim the girl, the locality will carry out procedures according to the law.
