Kien Giang - A newborn baby boy was discovered by locals on the sidewalk in Phung Hung fish sauce alley, quarter 4, An Thoi ward, Phu Quoc city.

On the evening of October 9, Ms. Dinh Thi Thanh Thuy, member of the Standing Committee of the Association for Supporting Poor Patients of Duong Dong Ward, Phu Quoc City (Kien Giang) said that she had received a case of a newborn baby boy being abandoned in the area.

At around 12:30 on October 9, people discovered an abandoned newborn baby on the side of the road in Phung Hung fish sauce alley, Ward 4, An Thoi ward.

At the time of discovery, the baby was placed in a black plastic bag, wrapped in a blue jacket, with no other belongings or documents.

Ms. Thuy informed that the baby boy is currently being taken to Phu Quoc City Medical Center (Pediatrics Department) for temporary monitoring and care. While waiting for the authorities to handle the situation, the Association hopes to receive support from generous donors to cover the costs of buying milk, diapers, and a caregiver for the baby.
