On May 9, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper over the phone, Colonel Nguyen Van Loc - Deputy Director of Tien Giang Provincial Police - said that he had resumed the investigation into the case of D.L.M.C, son of Mr. Do Son, who died at a childcare center in Hamlet 5 (Tan Lap 1 Commune, Tan Phuoc District, Tien Giang Province).
Deputy Director of Tien Giang Provincial Police Nguyen Van Loc added that the police are clarifying the cause of C's death. When the results are available, the authorities will provide information to the press.
Talking to Lao Dong, Mr. Do Son (42 years old, temporarily residing in Tan Phuoc district, Tien Giang province) said that on the morning of December 16, 2024, he took his 2 children to the childcare center of Ms. B.T.H (residing in Hamlet 5, Tan Lap 1 commune, Tan Phuoc district, Tien Giang province) as usual. At that time, on the way to the nursery, baby D.L.M.C was very happy, playing around and showing no signs of fatigue. After sending off their 2 children, the couple went to work.
At around 2:00 p.m. the same day, my wife received a phone call from the daycare center, reporting that my son was having an accident. After that, I ran to the scene and saw that the child was purple, cold and had stopped breathing. At this time, I immediately took my child to Chau Thanh District Medical Center (Tien Giang province), but it was too late. At Chau Thanh District Medical Center, the family was informed that baby C had died before being admitted to the hospital, said Mr. Son.

According to the conclusion of the investigation of the Investigation Police Agency of Tan Phuoc District Police (Tien Giang Province) on February 14, 2025, the cause of death of baby D.L.M.C was acute heart failure, acute respiratory failure, and congested pneumonia. In the baby's blood and organ coating, it was discovered that there was a sitom in the blood with a content of 96.78 mg/100ml, and no other toxic substances were found.
On April 17, 2025, the Police Investigation Agency of Tien Giang Province issued a notice of the results of the source of crime to Mr. Do Son (Baby C's father) with the content of suspension of resolution of the source because he asked the Tien Giang Forensic Center to provide documents but have not received the results.

On the evening of May 8, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Do Son said that because he and his wife are all from other provinces coming here to work for hire and are busy working, they agreed to send their children to Ms. H's childcare center. The family did not know that this facility did not have an operating license. Because C's death was unusual, his family hoped that the Investigation Police Agency of Tien Giang Province would investigate and clarify the cause of C's death to avoid missing a criminal.
