Mien Tay Bus Station starts to be crowded with passengers, traffic is still stable before the 2/9 holiday

On the morning of August 29, the number of people coming to Mien Tay Bus Station (HCMC) tended to increase when the September 2nd holiday began. However, operations at the station are still stable, no overload or congestion has been recorded.

According to Lao Dong's records, in the ticket sales area, the number of passengers coming to buy tickets and wait to get on the bus increased compared to normal days. Routes to the Mekong Delta provinces have many passengers, but there has not been a ticket outage situation.

Sharing with Lao Dong, an employee of a bus company running the Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh Long route said that the number of passengers coming to buy tickets is quite stable, but there has not been a situation of running out of tickets.

Most tickets were sold online before that. Compared to the previous holiday period, the number of customers is quite small. Maybe today many people are still working on Saturday so they haven't returned yet," this employee said.

Ms. Hoang Lan (from Dong Thap) said she was quite surprised that the number of passengers at the bus station was not too large.

Hope the travel process on the road is also smooth to get home quickly," Ms. Hoang Lan expressed.

On National Highway 1, in the direction from Ho Chi Minh City to Tay Ninh and the Mekong Delta provinces, the number of vehicles increased sharply. However, vehicles still moved quite smoothly, and prolonged congestion has not occurred.

At some intersections at risk of congestion, traffic police forces are present to regulate and divert traffic, limiting vehicle congestion.

It is expected that in the evening of August 29 and August 30, the number of people and vehicles leaving Ho Chi Minh City to return to the provinces may continue to increase. When the traffic volume increases sharply, some gateway routes are at risk of congestion.

The Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police recommends that people proactively monitor traffic conditions, choose appropriate times and routes to avoid peak hours.

For personal vehicles, people need to check technical safety conditions before moving; comply with regulations on speed and safe distance; do not stop or park in violation of regulations and absolutely do not use alcohol, beer, or stimulants when driving vehicles.
