Ho Chi Minh City - On August 30th, on the 2nd day of the September 2nd holiday, the number of passengers to Mien Tay Bus Station (An Lac ward) increased sharply, with many ticket counters crowded.

In particular, the ticket counter area of Phuong Trang bus company is crowded with passengers. Inside the station, the waiting area and pick-up point of this bus company are also bustling, many people are taking advantage of finding seats to wait for boarding time.

Mr. Cao Van Hien (from Vinh Long) said that to avoid running out of tickets during peak days, he proactively booked tickets online a week in advance.

In the days leading up to the holiday, buses are very easy to run out of seats, every year it's crowded like this, so I actively book early. This time's ticket price only differs by a few tens of thousands of dong. As soon as I finish my shift, I drive straight to the bus station to catch the trip," Mr. Hien said.

The male passenger said he expected to return to Ho Chi Minh City by Thursday.

Meanwhile, passengers who did not plan to return to their hometowns in advance faced more difficulties in finding tickets.

Mr. Ho Thanh Hai (from Vinh Long) said that initially he planned to stay in Ho Chi Minh City during the holidays. However, after the company announced 3-4 days off, he decided to return to his hometown.

After finishing the shift, I went to the station right away, because I didn't book tickets in advance, some big companies sold out early or had to wait until the afternoon, I had to switch to finding another bus company," Mr. Hai shared.

Although the number of passengers at Mien Tay Bus Station increased, records on the morning of August 30 show that traffic on the western gateway routes of Ho Chi Minh City is still quite stable, and vehicles circulate relatively smoothly.

The Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police recommends that people proactively monitor traffic conditions, choose appropriate times and routes to limit movement during peak hours.
