Khanh Hoa - On the evening of November 6, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh - Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee - inspected the response to storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi) in vulnerable areas.

Accompanying him were Mr. Trinh Minh Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Colonel Nguyen Tuy - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command - and leaders of relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities.

The delegation inspected Dong Ninh Hoa ward and Van Hung, Van Ninh, Van Thang communes (Bac Nha Trang ward).

In addition, Secretary of Nghiem Xuan Thanh Provincial Party Committee inspected the work of anchoring ships at fishing ports and the Ninh Hai storm shelter area (Dong Ninh Hoa ward).

Calling on people in cages to safe shelters, as well as evacuating people in coastal areas of Van Hung and Van Ninh communes.

The delegation also inspected the landslides in the downstream area of the Dong Dien River (Van Thang commune).

The Provincial Party Secretary requested departments, branches and localities to closely monitor the developments of storms and floods due to storm circulation, proactively deploy timely response plans; update and provide regular information so that people can proactively prevent and avoid information interruptions.

He emphasized strict implementation of the "4 on-site" motto, determined not to let people stay or return to cages and areas at high risk of landslides.

Proactively arrange forces, materials, and means at vulnerable points, and be ready for rescue when situations arise.

He also requested the preparation of adequate food, provisions, and necessities in residential areas at risk of being cut off during floods and landslides; medical facilities must prepare medicine, equipment, and medical staff to provide emergency care and medical examination and treatment for people when necessary.
