On the afternoon of June 18, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province held a ceremony to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 25-21, 2025).
Attending the program were Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Tran Thu Mai - Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and nearly 300 cadres and reporters working in the field of journalism and media in the area.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh reviewed the history of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press and journalists in Khanh Hoa.
After a century of construction and development, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has clearly demonstrated the sharp role of the working class as a means of attack, a revolutionary flag, making an important contribution to the cause of national liberation and national reunification, as well as in the cause of innovation, construction and protection of the Fatherland.
As one of the provinces with an early press system, Thang Newspaper - the predecessor of today's Khanh Hoa Newspaper, was established in 1947. Up to now, Khanh Hoa has 1 press agency and 45 representative offices, permanent reporters with nearly 400 journalists and reporters.
The team of people working in Khanh Hoa newspapers in recent times has always been a shock force, promptly informing, propagating, and vividly reflecting on the achievements of the renovation process that took place strongly in the homeland.
Khanh Hoa after the merger is facing a historic moment with potential, opportunities, and fortunes, opening up a huge development space.
According to Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh, Khanh Hoa is meeting in good weather and good land. Including strategic geographical location, preferential natural conditions as great advantages; a number of specific mechanisms and policies to support socio-economic development; the province's transport infrastructure has been a breakthrough in this decade.
With huge potential for marine economic development with the longest coastline in Vietnam, owning 3 famous coves, having 3 large seaports...
And with the provincial development planning, strategic investor orientation, and development orientation of Khanh Hoa province in the new period, it is implemented with determination and aspiration to be concretized through action.
Khanh Hoa is also a pioneer locality in building a streamlined organizational apparatus, while closely linking restructuring and improving the quality of cadres through KPI tools associated with the implementation of interconnection in cadre work.
However, Khanh Hoa is facing two bottlenecks, the bottleneck is the lack of synchronization in strategic infrastructure such as: telecommunications infrastructure, digital technology infrastructure, applied science and industrial park development infrastructure.
The quality of human resources, especially high-quality human resources, has not met development requirements.
Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary said that to bring Khanh Hoa into a decade of development, communication and journalism play a very important role.
"Especially raising awareness, going ahead, paving the way, creating social consensus. Khanh Hoa really needs more in-depth, practical and effective support and involvement from press agencies and journalists in the province" - Mr. Thanh said.
The Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary also requested Party committees, authorities, agencies and units in the province to coordinate more closely with press and media agencies at all levels to effectively carry out the task of informing, propagating, providing full, timely, honest, objective information to the press about the Party's policies, the State's policies and laws, the province's... to resolve outstanding issues, people's concerns, and public opinion's concerns, creating consensus in society.
On this occasion, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee awarded Khanh Hoa Press Awards in 2025 to 24 outstanding works.
Awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to 18 collectives and 31 individuals who have made outstanding achievements in propaganda work, contributing to the development of Khanh Hoa province, including a reporter from the Standing Office of Lao Dong Newspaper in Khanh Hoa.
