In June 2025, Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan provinces are completing plans to merge specialized agencies and public service units of Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan provinces, ready to operate immediately upon a decision by the competent authority.
In addition, departments, branches and localities also focus on reviewing the overall content and preparing the contents to adjust the provincial planning after the merger of the two provinces.
The leaders of Khanh Hoa province have directed departments and branches to review, compile statistics, and evaluate the implementation of sector and field plans to find solutions to promote progress, ensure quality and effectiveness of planning implementation.
Complete a comprehensive review, prepare the contents to adjust the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 after the merger of provinces; coordinate with Ninh Thuan province and the Ministry of Planning and Investment to develop a plan to adjust the Provincial Planning for the integrated period in the direction of linkage and unity.
Review, develop and integrate the contents into the North Central and Central Coast Planning to submit to the Appraisal Council in June 2025.
Review and identify urban development areas, industrial parks, tourist areas, concentrated production areas... in accordance with the orientation of spatial development and population distribution; ensure effective use of land and resources, associated with green growth and sustainable development.
Proactively review and prepare contents to implement the adjustment of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Urban Planning and other general planning projects, urban zoning plans in accordance with the Provincial Planning and the development orientation of the province after the merger.
Also in June 2025, the Standing Committees of the Provincial Party Committees of Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa provinces held a conference to collect opinions from former provincial leaders, experts, scientists, and intellectuals of the two provinces on commenting on the draft Political Report submitted to the 19th Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
