On the evening of November 6, in the conditions of strong winds and big waves due to the impact of storm No. 13, the Nha Trang Port Border Guard Station (Khanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard) promptly used a specialized canoe to cross the sea to take a child with high fever from Tri Nguyen Island (Nha Trang Ward) to the mainland for emergency care.
Previously, at around 3:00 p.m. the same day, the unit received a report that N.Q.H (born in 2022) - the child of Mr. Nguyen Van Huong and Huynh Thu Ha, residing in Group 2, Tri Nguyen Island - had a continuous high fever, at risk of convulsions, threatening his life.
However, at this time, due to the direct impact of storm No. 13, all ships and boats in Nha Trang's sea area are prohibited from operating due to strong winds and very dangerous big waves.
As soon as the news was received, the Nha Trang Port Border Guard Station mobilized a high-speed storm response canoe anchored at Nha Trang port, urgently crossing the big waves to Tri Nguyen island, bringing the child onto the boat to the mainland.
After arriving at shore, the border guards handed H over to the medical team to transfer to Khanh Hoa General Hospital for timely emergency care.
