Sea tourism is bustling again
In the summer of 2026, Thinh Long beach tourist area recorded a sharp increase in the number of tourists. The coastal road is often crowded with long lines of vehicles pouring into the beach. From early morning to late at night, the beach is always bustling with people and tourists playing and relaxing. Many seafood restaurants and accommodation establishments operate at full capacity, even "out of rooms" during peak seasons.
As the owner of a accommodation establishment in Thinh Long beach tourist area, Ms. Cam said that this summer, the tourist atmosphere has changed significantly compared to recent years. The number of visitors has increased sharply right from the beginning of the season, at many times customers book rooms fully booked a week in advance.
Following business activities for many years, I see that this summer is much busier. Many customers come, the beach is always bustling, and dining and accommodation services are all bustling again. This makes tourism workers like us very excited and more confident in the recovery of Thinh Long beach tourism," Ms. Cam shared.
On this occasion, in order to attract and build a friendly tourism image, many accommodation locations in Thinh Long maintain stable price levels, about 500,000 VND/room/night.
Exploring Thinh Long beach with his family on weekends, Mr. Tran Van Hung (a tourist from Hanoi) said that he rarely chose Thinh Long for beach trips before. However, recently seeing a lot of information about this beach tourist area recovering, he decided to come with his family to experience it.
I was quite surprised when I came here. The beach is clean, the space is airy, the number of visitors is large but not too crowded. Before the trip, I was just curious to see how Thinh Long beach changed, but after experiencing it in reality, I found this a quite attractive destination for short vacations," Mr. Hung said.
Towards sustainable tourism development
The strong recovery of tourists not only helps coastal service businesses improve revenue but also creates motivation for the locality to build a long-term development strategy for Thinh Long beach tourist area.
According to Mr. Tran Minh Dang - Secretary of the Party Committee of Hai Thinh commune, in the 2026 tourist season, the locality sets a target of welcoming over 500,000 visitors and achieving tourism revenue of over 500 billion VND.
Although owning a long beach, fine sand and increasingly convenient transportation infrastructure thanks to the advantage of being located in Ninh Co Economic Zone, tourism products in Thinh Long are still not really diverse. Currently, most tourists come here mainly to swim, enjoy seafood and then return in the day, making the length of stay and spending not high.
Secretary of the Party Committee of Hai Thinh commune added that in the coming time, to realize the goal of developing marine tourism, the locality is developing a plan to develop experiential tourism products associated with culture, spirituality and community life. Destinations such as Hai Thinh stone church, Linh Ung pagoda and coastal fishing villages will be connected into synchronous tours and routes.
Previously, Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee issued a decision on the investment policy for the urgent treatment project of Hai Thinh III sea dike (section from K25+000 - K27+120) belonging to Hai Hau sea dike and new construction of culvert 1/5, Hai Thinh commune.
According to the decision, the project belongs to group B, invested by the Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 2 of the province, with a total investment of 230 billion VND.
The scale of investment, upgrading and expanding the dyke surface, dyke embankment, building a wave shield for the Hai Thinh III sea dyke (section from K25+000 - K27+120) with a length of about 2.12km and new construction to replace the 1/5 culvert at K5+968 on the left side of the Ninh Co river mouth dike.
