Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee said that DT 743 road has been completed and put into use.
In previous years, this route was famous for traffic jams in Binh Duong. In 2015, Binh Duong province removed a toll station on this route and implemented a project to upgrade and expand the route. The project is implemented by Becamex IDC Corporation.
According to Becamex IDC Corporation, the project to upgrade and expand DT 743 road is 16km long and has a total construction value of VND930 billion.
This is a vital route connecting Tan Uyen city through Thuan An city, Di An city (Binh Duong) to Ho Chi Minh City. The route passes through key industrial parks such as VSIP, Song Than, Dong An.

The upgrading and expansion of the route to 6 lanes has reduced congestion, increased the ability to transport goods and passengers; at the same time, promoted the development of trade and services in neighboring areas.
In addition to expanding the road, in recent years, Binh Duong has conducted hourly traffic diversion, banning trucks from running during rush hour. This also helps reduce peak traffic pressure on this route.
The 550 intersection has had an overpass built, so there is no longer any congestion. The An Phu intersection, which used to be a hot spot for traffic congestion, has now been significantly improved, thanks to its expansion to 10 lanes, making it more airy. Meanwhile, the end point of DT 743, the Ong Cu Temple intersection, has so far rarely experienced traffic jams and congestion.
