The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project has a total length of more than 200 km, with a total investment of more than VND 120,412 billion in phase 1. The project passes through Long An with the largest length of more than 74.5 km, Dong Nai 46 km, Ba Ria - Vung Tau 18.2 km and Ho Chi Minh City 20.5 km. The section passing through Binh Duong is 48 km long.
The section through Binh Duong province was approved by the Provincial People's Council for investment policy for independent implementation. The project is divided into 2 components, of which component project 1 - road site clearance was approved by the Provincial People's Committee with a total investment of VND 7,926 billion.
The project is large in scale, with a land area expected to be reclaimed of 239.8 hectares, passing through Thu Dau Mot city, Tan Uyen city, Ben Cat city and Bac Tan Uyen district. The project affects about 1,451 cases with about 300 cases subject to resettlement. Currently, localities have approved land prices, notified land recovery, paid compensation and land recovery.
Component project 2 has now started construction. The People's Committee of Binh Duong province has approved the results of selecting investors to implement the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 Construction Investment Project. The winning bidder was the consortium of Industrial Investment and Development Corporation - JSC (Becamex IDC), Technical Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company (Becamex IJC) and Deo Ca Group Joint Stock Company.
The project is implemented under the form of Construction - Business - Transfer (BOT), with a total investment of VND 11,743 billion.
Mr. Vo Van Minh - Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee said that phase 1 of the project to invest in a full 4-lane expressway, including a continuous emergency lane with a roadbed width of 25.5m, designed speed of 100 km/h. Notably, the section from VSIP 2A Industrial Park to My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park is synchronized with a scale of 62 m, 10 lanes, designed speed of 80km/h. Invest in allocating interconnecting and directing intersections and building parallel roads on both sides of the route to ensure technical factors of the expressway and regional traffic connections.
About 10 km have been built with 10 lanes
According to records, there are currently 2 sections overlapping with Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 with 10 lanes built. Of which, the section passing through VSIP 2A Industrial Park in Tan Uyen city is built about 2 km. The section passing through Thoi Hoa ward, Ben Cat city has been built for about 8 km.
