On April 25, the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Thu Dau Mot Province (Binh Duong today), the complete liberation of the South, and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
During the General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of 1975, with the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, the army and people of Thu Dau Mot province fought bravely and won many resounding victories, contributing to changing the situation of the battlefield.
From April 26, 1975, the armed forces of Thu Dau Mot province advanced towards targets in the center of the province, paving the way for the army of the I Corps to advance to Saigon.
Localities across the province have stepped up military advances, closely combining with the mass insurgents, liberating communes, districts, towns, etc.
At exactly 10:30 a.m. on April 30, 1975, our army and people quickly entered Thu Dau market (Thu Dau market a day now), planting the flag of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam on the roof of Phu Cuong Townhouse and many enemy offices.
On April 30, 1975, the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign was a complete success, the South was completely liberated and the country was unified.
After the liberation day, Binh Duong and the whole country entered the process of restoring production and developing the economy.
Since 1997, the province's industrial economy has developed strongly. The province is a destination for domestic and foreign enterprises. Binh Duong attracts workers from all over to work and live. The development of Binh Duong province has contributed significantly to the overall achievements of the country.
On this occasion, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province honored and rewarded 50 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements and outstanding contributions to the development of Binh Duong province, period (1975 - 2025).
Fireworks to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification
