One of the first methods applied by Binh Lieu was to make wearing traditional costumes a regulation.
The People's Council of Binh Lieu district issued Resolution 232/NQ-HDND dated December 21, 2018 and the People's Committee of the district issued Decision No. 3536/QD-UBND dated December 27, 2018 approving the "Project to preserve and promote the cultural values of ethnic groups in Binh Lieu district until 2020 and orientation to 2030". Implementing the Resolution, the locality has deployed "Ethnic Costume Week" to all civil servants, public employees, workers and people in the whole district.
According to regulations, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers will wear their ethnic costumes 2 days/week and encourage local people to wear their ethnic costumes to work, in cultural and sports activities.
With this method, wearing traditional costumes has gradually become a habit and a passion of the people here.
That is also the reason why in recent years, when coming to Binh Lieu, many people will easily see people wearing traditional costumes at traditional ceremonies, weddings, and markets.
In 2020, all over the media and social networks, images of female players of Huc Dong Commune Football Club wearing San Chi ethnic costumes playing friendly football with Miss Universe Vietnam and Miss Runner-up Vietnam were widely circulated.
Huc Dong Commune Women's Football Club was established in 2017. After a period of competition, in early 2018, the club decided to switch from shorts and jerseys to San Chi ethnic costumes.

Mr. Tran A Tam - Head coach of the Huc Dong commune women's football team said: The Huc Dong commune women's football club has players who are all San Chi ethnic people. When on the field, the team has 2 playing uniforms: light blue and dark blue shirts, dresses, and headscarves.
In November 2020, the club had a friendly football match with Miss Universe Vietnam and Miss Runner-up. The Misses and Runner-up also wore San Chi clothes to play football like the locals. Perhaps from then on, our football team became more well-known. In 2024 alone, the club had more than 20 friendly football matches with other teams outside the locality.
Football players do various jobs in the village but most of them are farmers. The club currently has 25 players ranging in age from 16 to over 40.
Ms. May Thi Nam - Huc Dong Commune Football Club said: Football matches usually take place on Saturday or Sunday. Wearing ethnic costumes to play football, all the attention is on the team, I am very proud, sometimes there are tourists asking to take a picture with me or with the team, it is really fun. From those pictures, the image of girls playing football in San Chi ethnic costumes will be spread everywhere.

Up to now, in Huc Dong commune, in addition to Huc Dong commune football club, there are 6 other women's football teams from Na Ech, Khe Mo, Mo Tuc, Po Dan, Luc Ngu, and Thanh Thin villages.
Mr. To Dinh Hieu - Deputy Director of Binh Lieu District Cultural and Information Center - said: The locality has many cultural programs and festivals of the four seasons, typically: Golden Season Festival, Luc Na Communal House Festival, So Flower Festival, Wind Abstinence Festival, Soong Co Festival, New Rice Celebration Festival... At these festivals, the performers wearing traditional costumes are mostly indigenous people, people working in the fields and forests. When performing in their traditional costumes, they are very proud and confident about it.
