On August 21, the Ministry of Public Security informed that the Guard Command is the main unit in protecting the Commemoration Ceremony, the parade, and the parade taking place on the morning of September 2 at the historic Ba Dinh Square.
This unit has promptly developed plans and solutions and mobilized maximum forces and means to participate in security work; assigned specific tasks and areas to the unit in the Command.
In addition to advantages such as: familiar areas, convenient for deploying forces and means of protection; security work deployed early, remotely and having a lot of experience in protecting important events of the country, the Guard Command still faces many difficulties in the process of deploying security work because this is an important event of the country with the largest number of participants ever.
Therefore, the requirement is to ensure absolute security and safety for commemorative activities in any situation, not to let sudden or unexpected events happen.
Based on the functions, tasks and plans of the Command, the Special Forces Regiment - Guard Command has coordinated with units under the Ministry of National Defense and units under the Ministry of Public Security such as: the Mobile Police Command, Hanoi City Police to conduct surveys of locations for organizing commemorative activities and parade and parade; analyze and evaluate the security and order situation related; clearly identify potential goals and risks.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thanh - Special Forces Regiment, based on the results of the survey and assessment of the situation, the unit developed a protection plan; arranged forces in important positions to form many layers, many protection rounds, many elite task forces; closely combined forces to ensure security and order in the area and the Special Forces;
In between traditional professional measures closed with the application of science and technology; closely coordinate with relevant forces in the process of organizing the implementation of tasks, clearly assign people, work, responsibilities, and scope of handling of each unit, ensuring unity in command, coordination in combat and handling professional situations.
At the same time, the unit has developed a scenario, organized a pure training course on protection plans close to the actual situation; organized training on special forces vehicles, organized a combat alert at the Regiment level... Conducted a review, maintenance, and repair of weapons, vehicles, support tools, equipment, and specialized vehicles, ensuring effective use in combat according to the plan as well as in handling emergency situations.
Regimental Party committees and commanders regularly pay attention to doing a good job of political and ideological work; raising awareness among officers and soldiers about the special meaning and importance of the Commemoration Ceremony. This helps officers and soldiers clearly define their responsibilities and constantly strive to excellently complete assigned tasks.
