This afternoon (August 15), the Central Steering Committee to celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the country in the 3 years of 2023-2025 held a meeting to review activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The meeting was chaired and chaired by Politburo members: Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu - Head of the Steering Committee; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee Nguyen Trong Nghia - Deputy Head of the Steering Committee.
Speaking at the meeting, Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu emphasized: Organizing activities to celebrate the success of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is very important, demonstrating the proactive spirit, high responsibility, smooth, synchronous and consistent coordination of all levels and sectors from the central to local levels.
In particular, the Commemoration Ceremony, parade and parade are key highlights in the entire series of commemorative activities that need to be guaranteed the best conditions to be organized solemnly, practically, effectively, absolutely safely, spreading widely at home and abroad, towards the people.
Noting that there is not much time left, the Standing Committee of the Secretariat recommends that the central departments, ministries, branches, Hanoi City and relevant agencies and units continue to thoroughly grasp the direction of the Central Steering Committee; closely follow the overall project of commemorative activities, the Plan to organize the Commemoration Ceremony, parade, and announce the conclusions of the meetings of the Central Steering Committee to focus on close and drastic leadership and direction; strengthen close and effective coordination between agencies and units to ensure smooth, clear work and responsibility in implementing tasks.
The Standing Secretariat requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, and Hanoi City to complete the contents of the overall script, the operating script, the music script for the program of the Commemoration Ceremony, parade, and parade, the explanation of the parade and parade to ensure scientific and reasonable, creating a strong influence to spread patriotism, pride, and excitement in all classes of people; coordinate with Vietnam Television and Vietnam Voiceover Station to unify the script for live broadcasting of the Commemoration Ceremony, parade, and parade, ensuring the operation of the contents smoothly and tightly, without errors.
Regarding logistics, health care, security and safety assurance, the Standing Committee of the Secretariat proposed that the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Health and relevant ministries, branches and units coordinate with Hanoi City to ensure security, order, healthcare, environmental sanitation, organize traffic flow and route clearance, specifically notify the temporary suspension of vehicles on routes serving the parade and parade forces; deploy trial operations of security and safety assurance plans during the training sessions, preliminary and final inspections at Ba Dinh Square.
Regarding the organization of a preliminary review and reorganization of the Commemoration Ceremony, parade and parade, the Standing Committee of the Secretariat emphasized the requirement that Hanoi City urgently accept the opinions of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee to develop a plan for organization; arrange a plan to invite delegates and People's Forces to attend the preliminary review and reorganization.
Regarding information and propaganda work, the Standing Committee of the Secretariat suggested that the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to direct the good work of information and propaganda about events, especially celebrations, parades, and marches widely spread domestically and internationally; strictly control information on the internet, organize forces to fight against erroneous and hostile views and information, and protect the Party's ideological foundation.
