On May 12, the Border Guard Command organized an award ceremony for collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in fighting the LC326, LC326. 3p and LC426p projects related to gold smuggling, human trafficking and organizing illegal exits.
Attending the award ceremony were Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan - Political Commissar of the Border Guard; Mr. Ngo Hanh Phuc - Standing Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee and representatives of many agencies and functional units.

According to a report by the Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard, Project LC326. 3p has dismantled a case of transporting nearly 9kg of smuggled gold into Vietnam.
On April 4, in the area of Lao Cai International Road Border Gate, functional forces discovered Wang Qing (Chinese nationality) handing over a backpack containing gold to Bui Van Ngoc to take to Hanoi for consumption.
The special project team coordinated to chase and stop vehicles at Km237 toll station of Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, seizing 12 pieces of yellow metal with a total weight of nearly 9kg, worth more than 37.8 billion VND.
Regarding Project LC326, functional forces have dismantled a human trafficking ring from Son La through Lao Cai to China led by Cu Thi Cha. The investigation process determined that the subjects had tricked and sold many women to China, earning a profit of about 50,000 yuan.

Meanwhile, Project LC426p discovered and arrested a group of subjects organizing the illegal exit of people across the border.
On April 26, functional forces caught red-handed 3 subjects driving motorbikes carrying 3 foreign citizens to the border area to illegally exit the country, and at the same time expanded the arrest of related subjects.
Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan praised the outstanding achievements of the Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard in fighting and preventing crime on the border line.

According to the leaders of the Border Guard Command, the LC326, LC326. 3p and LC426p projects are outstanding feats of arms, contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety in the border area.
On this occasion, the Border Guard Command awarded Certificates of Merit to 19 collectives and individuals; Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 25 individuals with outstanding achievements in the fight against crime.
