Speaking at the program, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung affirmed that in its role as a strategic advisory body, in addition to making efforts to complete professional tasks, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has implemented the general policy of the Party and State, showing concern for people with disabilities with the motto of leaving no one behind.
"Aware of the importance of social work, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has determined to spend time and effort to organize many meaningful social activities such as: Supporting the poor, supporting people in areas affected by natural disasters, storms and floods, exchanging and assisting vulnerable groups, people with disabilities... with a goal for the development of the community.
In 2019, the Ministry of Planning and Investment launched the spirit of "Proud of Vietnam", a program for community development and officially sponsored 8 disadvantaged groups including: Hope Choir, Vun Art, Thuong Thuong Handmade, KymViet, Tam Ngoc Cooperative..." - the Minister affirmed.
At the program, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung also pledged to accompany and support creative startup ideas of people with disabilities. Help the disabled community to participate in production and increase income. In particular, overcome all complexes to develop with the country, entering a new era.
Representing 8 disadvantaged groups, Ms. Tran Thi Thuan - Director of Tam Ngoc Cooperative expressed her deep gratitude to Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung for accompanying and supporting disadvantaged groups in the past time, sharing difficulties and obstacles in the process of operation, recommending competent agencies to remove them and create favorable conditions for people with disabilities.
"The group of people with disabilities consider the Ministry of Planning and Investment as a "second home" that they can return to at any time. Here we are always welcomed, accompanied both mentally and supported promptly in production activities" - Ms. Tran Thi Thuan emotionally shared.
At the program, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung presented each disadvantaged group with a gift worth VND 2,000,000 to encourage and motivate these groups to continue to develop, expand production, create more jobs and income for people with disabilities.
