The Ministry of Health has just sent a document to the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities on strengthening communication and organizing activities on the occasion of Vietnam Health Insurance Day (HI) 1.7.
The Ministry of Health said that on June 16, 2009, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 823/QD-TTg on choosing July 1st every year as "Vietnam Health Insurance Day".
In order to continue to propagate and disseminate health insurance policies and laws and mobilize people to actively participate in health insurance to achieve the goal of public health insurance, the Ministry of Health recommends that localities direct relevant departments, branches and sectors to strengthen the implementation of propaganda and dissemination activities on health insurance policies and laws.
The Ministry of Health requests the Department of Health and Social Insurance of the regions to coordinate with the Departments, Committees and Sectors to advise the People's Committees of provinces and cities to organize propaganda and dissemination activities on health insurance in conjunction with the implementation of Resolutions, Directives and Important Decisions of the Party and the Government, including: Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee, Directive No. 38-CT/TW dated September 7, 2009 of the Secretariat, Directive No. 25-CT/TW dated October 25, 2023 of the Secretariat and Decision No. 546/QD-TTg dated April 29, 2022 of the Prime Minister.
Communication activities on the occasion of Vietnam Health Insurance Day, July 1, will focus from now until July 8, 2025. Diverse forms of organization such as rallies, seminars, posting news, articles, reports on mass media, and hanging banners and propaganda with key messages:
- Improve the quality of health insurance examination and treatment at grassroots health care to increase access to health insurance services for health insurance participants.
- Improve the quality of health insurance examination and treatment for the rights and health of health insurance participants.
- Use the health insurance fund economically and effectively to maintain sustainable financial resources in public health care.
- Determined to achieve the goal of universal health insurance coverage.
- Health insurance is a shield for your health.
- join health insurance to have a sustainable financial source when sick or ill.
- For social security, for our health, let's join health insurance.
- Participating in health insurance is the right and responsibility of all organizations and individuals.
- Community health is associated with public health insurance.
- Strictly implement the law on health insurance to ensure social security and sustainable development of the country.
At the same time, the Ministry of Health also requested the Department of Health to direct medical examination and treatment facilities in the area to carry out appropriate propaganda activities, while continuing to strictly implement the provisions of the law on health insurance.
Establishments need to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, strengthen prevention and control of wasteful behavior, abuse and profiteering of the health insurance fund, and use the health insurance fund economically and effectively.
The Ministry of Health requests the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities to pay attention to directing the implementation of the above activities well.
