On April 12, Song Cau Ward People's Committee (Dak Lak province) confirmed that a dolphin had just drifted ashore in the area.
Previously, on the morning of April 11, people discovered at Tu Nham beach (Song Cau ward) a dolphin more than 1m long drifting ashore. Immediately after that, many people tried to push the dolphin hundreds of meters away from the shore to get it back to the sea.
However, the fish did not swim away but continued to drift ashore.
People tried to bring fish out to sea about 3 times, but the fish still drifted back. Therefore, people are waiting for the fish to'die' to proceed with burial according to local traditional customs.
Previously, on the afternoon of April 9, at Vinh Hoa beach (Song Cau ward), a whale about 10m long and weighing nearly 2 tons also drifted ashore. The fish was buried by fishermen according to coastal customs.
