In recent days, many clips have appeared on social networks recording the swimming of dolphins in the sea area of Quang Ha and Cai Chien communes (Quang Ninh), attracting public attention.
Mr. Dinh Khac Hung (born 1983, residing in Quang Ha commune), fanpage administrator who posted the videos, said: Eight videos were recorded from 2025 to now, directly filmed by him and sent back by people.
According to Mr. Hung, encountering dolphins in this area is no longer rare, even the frequency of appearance tends to increase.
Dolphins often appear in the area from Hon Mieu to Cua Dai. This is a sea area with clear blue water and many deep channels.

Fish often appear a lot in times before storms or days with moonlight.
People are very excited when recording images of dolphins. I myself, living in the locality, am also very happy to see my hometown's sea becoming more and more clear, and marine life becoming richer," Mr. Hung shared.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Duong Huy (born 1999) - who filmed the dolphin school appearing in Cai Chien sea area on March 27 - said: At that time, around 3 pm, while fishing with a group of friends about 2km from Cai Chien island, he suddenly discovered a school of 6 dolphins swimming near a boat.
According to Mr. Huy, the dolphin individuals are about 1.5 m long and weigh about 80 kg.
According to the People's Committee of Cai Chien commune, in recent years, the sea area around the island has regularly recorded dolphins appearing near the shore. This is a positive sign showing that the marine ecological environment is improving.
In fact, this result is associated with environmental protection solutions that Quang Ninh province has implemented synchronously in the past time.
Since 2019, the province has issued regulations on management and operation of an automatic environmental monitoring system with many monitoring stations for seawater, surface water and wastewater; and integrated the goal of environmental protection and biodiversity into development planning.
The work of controlling aquatic exploitation, restoring mangrove forests, developing marine protected areas, and reducing plastic waste in Ha Long Bay and Co To is also being promoted.
The increasing appearance of dolphins not only reflects the recovery of the marine ecosystem but also shows the initial effectiveness of environmental protection policies. This is also the basis for Quang Ninh to continue to develop the marine economy in a sustainable direction.
