Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper on the same evening, Mr. Duong Huy (born in 1999, residing in Ba Che commune, Quang Ninh province) - the person who directly recorded the clip - said that at about 3 pm on March 27, while fishing with a group of friends about 2km from Cai Chien island, he suddenly discovered a school of dolphins including 6 swimming near the boat area, so he used his phone to record it.
According to Mr. Huy, the dolphin individuals are about 1.5m long and weigh about 80kg. Among them, the leading fish is white, and some other fish are light pink.
Mr. Huy also added that in this sea area, the fishing group had previously recorded the appearance of 2 dolphins last year.
According to information from the People's Committee of Cai Chien commune, in recent years, the sea area around the island has regularly recorded dolphins appearing near the shore. This is a positive sign for the marine ecological environment in the locality.
