Da Nang City authorities are clarifying the traffic accident between a truck and a tractor-trailer that occurred at Km 56+700 in Tay Ho commune this morning, causing a driver to die on the spot.
Initial information, at around 8:30 a.m. on December 5, a truck with license plate 88H-02213 traveling on the Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway suddenly collided strongly with the trailer of a tractor-trailer with license plate 35G-001.69 pulling a trailer with license plate 35RM-000.37.
The collision caused the front of the truck to be completely deformed, the driver was trapped in the cabin and died on the spot. The tractor-trailer's rear end was slightly damaged.
Immediately after the accident, the expressway management unit coordinated with the traffic police to take over the scene, organizing traffic flow for vehicles in the North - South direction to move to the Ha Lam toll station to serve the rescue work.
According to the expressway management agency, at the time of the accident, the road surface was dry, and the traffic safety system was operating normally. The cause of the incident is still being investigated.
