A serious landslide has just occurred on DH6 route leading to Tra Don village, Nam Tra My commune, Da Nang city, causing more than 800 households to be temporarily cut off. Local authorities immediately inspected the scene and proposed emergency response solutions.
Recorded at the scene, despite the unseasonal weather, hundreds of cubic meters of rock and soil from the positive slope continuously overflowed onto the road. Many sections were completely eroded and broken, forming deep holes and large cracks. Weak land continues to have new landslides, making it impossible for vehicles to travel, and the work of clearing the route also faces many obstacles.

Mr. Khuat Duy Thai (Tra Don village) said that people's travel since morning was almost paralyzed, the elderly and the sick could not move to the commune center. Many people in a hurry have to take risks to get through the landslide.
According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Hung, the construction technique of DH6 route, the positive slope area is seriously unstable: "Just a slight shake, rocks and soil will fall down. Construction forces are forced to be on duty continuously to promptly handle new landslides".

Previously, DH6 route had landslides and the commune militia opened a temporary path for motorbikes to pass. However, the weather continued to worsen, causing the road surface to be continuously dug deep. Although the locality has put up warning ropes, some people still arbitrarily remove ropes to travel, posing a great risk of accidents.
Mr. Tran Van Man - Chairman of Nam Tra My Commune People's Committee, said that the commune has coordinated to survey, assess the damage and propose an emergency reinforcement plan. While waiting for the repair, the commune instructed people to go around National Highway 40B to ensure safety.

"We request the construction unit to place warning signs and send forces to be on duty 24/7 at dangerous points. The number one priority is the safety of the people. The commune also increased propaganda, absolutely not allowing people to cross the landslide area without permission" - Mr. Man emphasized.
The construction unit is urgently mobilizing machinery and opening temporary roads to soon restore traffic and stabilize the production life of more than 800 households in the area.
