According to the Department of Construction of Tuyen Quang province, traffic diversion plans are proposed to best organize traffic to serve the 11th buckwheat Flower Festival and the Ceremony to receive tourism titles in 2025.
In particular, limiting traffic congestion on the routes leading to Dong Van Stone Plateau Global Geopark is always a priority.
According to the plan, from 0:00 on November 28 to 10:00 p.m. on November 30, 2025, heavy-duty vehicles will be restricted to circulate on some key routes such as National Highway 4C (Km0 Ha Giang 1 Ward - Km200, Niem Son Commune), the road to Lung Cu Flagpole and route DT.176 (Yen Minh - Mau Due - Meo Vac). The list of banned vehicles includes trucks over 8 tons, tractors, excavators and specialized motorbikes for construction.
To facilitate vehicle movement, the Department of Construction has proposed 3 alternative routes. The options for vehicles to move to National Highway 34, intersections at Km31+800 (Minh Son commune) or Ly Bon commune area (Cao Bang) to connect with provincial roads, thereby distributing traffic.
The central area of Dong Van commune (Km143+800 - Km144+400 on National Highway 4C) will be subject to vehicle restrictions. Private vehicles that are not priority will be instructed to turn onto Tran Phu Street and return to National Highway 4C according to the roundabout to reduce pressure in the festival area.
The Department of Construction requested the Provincial Police and local police forces to coordinate in regulating and at the same time requesting media agencies to widely disseminate information so that people can proactively plan their travel.
The Road Maintenance Management Board must arrange full signs to avoid construction materials that obstruct traffic.
The synchronous implementation of expected solutions to help smooth and safe traffic during the festival period contributes to the success of the province's major cultural and tourism event.
