People who are receiving monthly pensions and social insurance allowances can change the form of receiving or the place of receiving if they have the need, especially in cases of moving residence in the country. This regulation aims to facilitate beneficiaries in the process of receiving benefits.
According to the provisions of Article 82 of the 2024 Law on Social Insurance, people who are receiving pensions and monthly allowances when wishing to change the form of receipt (such as receiving through an account or cash) or change the place of receipt due to moving residence, they need to have a written document sent to the social insurance agency where they are paying.
After receiving the request, the social insurance agency is responsible for considering and resolving it within 5 working days from the date of receipt of the document. This is a deadline to ensure that the payment is not interrupted, affecting the rights of beneficiaries.
In case the request cannot be resolved, the social insurance agency must have a written reply, and clearly state the reason so that the beneficiary knows and takes the next steps if necessary.
The above regulation is assessed as creating more flexible conditions for pensioners, especially in the context that many people change their places of residence or have a need to receive money in a more convenient form.
