Dong Nai doctors and nurses bring medicine to support Dak Lak province in overcoming the consequences of storms and floods

Dong Nai - Nearly 300 doctors, nurses, medical staff, youth union members, Red Cross Society and volunteer forces support Dak Lak province in overcoming floods.

On November 25, the Party Committee, Government and People of Dong Nai province held a launching ceremony for a working delegation to strengthen support for people in Dak Lak province to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and floods.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Ut - Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee said: Dong Nai province established a working group consisting of medical staff, doctors, medical staff, youth union members, Red Cross Society and volunteer forces, bringing medicine, professional equipment, medical supplies and many gifts and essential necessities to support Dak Lak province's people to overcome difficulties.

According to Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut, this working trip took place in difficult weather conditions, roads, large workload, and very high professional and safety requirements; with 293 participants (including 34 vehicles), going to communes including: Hoa My commune, Tay Hoa commune, Hoa Thinh commune, Son Thanh commune, An Thach commune, An Ninh Tay commune, An Ninh Dong commune, Duc Binh commune.

Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut requested the Department of Health to develop a plan for medical examination, medicine supply, and health consultation suitable to actual conditions at each destination, ensuring effectiveness, practicality, and informal.

Hospitals, Center for Disease Control, Medical College and medical staff, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and medical students must absolutely comply with professional procedures, maximize responsibility, focus on caring for, examining - providing medicine, and consulting on health for people; Youth Union, Red Cross Society and volunteer forces visit and encourage households that have suffered heavy damage; support temporary accommodation, environmental sanitation, and provide gifts and necessities; organize sharing activities, encourage children and the disadvantaged so that people can feel the warm sharing from Dong Nai.

Ms. Do Thi Nguyen - Director of the Department of Health of Dong Nai province said that the delegation was divided into teams to perform tasks. Of which, 3 teams will examine, consult and provide medicine; 1 team will provide preventive medicine, environmental sanitation and disinfection; 1 support team from the Youth Union, Red Cross Society, and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

The group brought 10,000 bags of essential medicine, 2,000 packages of medicine for medical examination, 2,000 gifts and 600 million VND to promptly share difficulties with people in flooded areas.
