Vietnam General Confederation of Labor supports 1 billion VND for Dak Lak union members affected by storms and floods

Dak Lak - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - presented support to union members who suffered heavy losses in the recent historic flood.

On the morning of November 24, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan directly visited the headquarters of the Dak Lak Trade Union, Facility 2, to visit and present support to 50 union members of Phu Yen Urban Environment Joint Stock Company and Pymepharco Joint Stock Company.

Although it has been 3 days since the flood, many people are still shocked by the scene of their houses and properties being swept away by floodwaters. What remained was mud and mud.

Sharing with Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan, Ms. Huynh Thi Long Phung - a worker at Phu Yen Urban Environment Joint Stock Company - tearfully said: "In the late afternoon, my family only had time to demolish the underpass. When the water receded, the house almost collapsed, and there were no assets or items in the house."

In response to these losses, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has donated 1 billion VND to support union members in difficulty.

In addition, the Hai Phong Provincial Federation of Labor also contributed 200 million VND, the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor supported 150 million VND to help union members and workers in Dak Lak soon stabilize their lives.

The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor directly presented 50 union members with houses completely submerged in floodwaters, each case with 2 million VND.

At the same time, each union member was given an essential gift from the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund, including a blanket and a warm coat.

Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan highly appreciated the efforts of Dak Lak Trade Union officials in recent days, when they temporarily put aside the difficulties of their families to participate in relief and supplying union members.

This timely action not only helps union members overcome immediate difficulties but also demonstrates the deep concern of the Trade Union organization for the lives of workers across the country.
