Post Office staff bring pensions to their homes
According to Vietnam Social Insurance (VSS), the social insurance system nationwide is implementing the payment of pensions and monthly social insurance benefits for the early payment period of May 2025 to more than 3.3 million policy beneficiaries.
Deputy Director of Lam Dong Social Insurance Management and Operation Tran Van Son said: "The work of paying pensions and social insurance benefits will be implemented simultaneously in the province from April 25 to April 28, bringing excitement to tens of thousands of people receiving pensions and benefits.
Paying pensions and social insurance benefits early is a practical and meaningful thing to do on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the National Reunification Day. Therefore, the entire provincial social insurance system has closely coordinated with the Post Office and local authorities to ensure smooth, timely and safe payment".
The pension and social insurance allowance payment in May in Lam Dong province with a total of 28,567 retirees. Of which, 20,232 people received credit cards via ATM with an amount of nearly 143 billion VND and 8,335 people received cash with an amount of nearly 45 billion VND.
Lam Dong Social Insurance has closely coordinated with the Provincial Post Office and commercial banks in the area to ensure the payment process is quick, safe and most convenient for beneficiaries. Diverse forms of payment are being implemented, including receiving cash at the post office, transferring money via ATM account and especially, for people in difficult circumstances or with poor health, the provincial Social Insurance also coordinates with relevant units to make home payments.
At the payment points, joy and excitement filled the faces of the "retired" when receiving early pensions. Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc (82 years old, Ward 8, Da Lat City) shared: "I am very happy to receive an early pension, I have received a pension for nearly 30 years! ".
Mr. Tran Manh Hung, (82 years old, Cat Tien town, Da Huoai district) could not hide his emotions when mentioning receiving a pension at home: "Age of old age, difficulty traveling, I am just sick, the Post Office staff brought money to my house, I was very happy. This attention is so warm."
In order to facilitate, Hau Giang Social Insurance also coordinated with the Provincial Post Office to organize home payments for beneficiaries who are elderly, lonely, sick, or sick and unable to come to the payment points.
Hearing the announcement through the media in recent days, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ut - a retired cadre in Tan Hoa commune, Chau Thanh A district, knowing the information that she would receive her pension in May earlier than usual, Ms. Ut was very happy.
"My husband and I are both retired cadres, so we are very happy. We plan to go to Ho Chi Minh City this time to travel and watch parades and pageants to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification, and get an early pension. Before the big national holiday, I feel like I am in double the joy! - Ms. Ut shared.
Mr. Bui Bao Quoc - Deputy Director of the Provincial Social Insurance said: "Hau Giang Provincial Social Insurance determined that the early payment of pensions in May 2025 is not only a professional task but also an activity of profound significance. Therefore, the entire provincial social insurance system has closely coordinated with the Post Office and local authorities to ensure smooth, timely and safe payment".
Currently, Hau Giang province has 5,540 people receiving monthly pensions and social insurance benefits, of which over 4,200 people receive payments through personal accounts.
Area XXII Social Insurance pays 130 billion VND
In this period, Social Insurance of XXXII area (Ca Mau - Bac Lieu) paid 17,917 people with a total amount of nearly 130 billion VND. The unit has closely coordinated with relevant agencies to ensure quick, safe and compulsory payment, contributing to timely support for beneficiaries before the April 30 and May 1 holidays.
In parallel with payment work, Social Insurance of XXXII region also promotes propaganda and instructing people to use convenient forms of pension receipt such as through personal accounts, contributing to modernizing payment methods, ensuring the best benefits for beneficiaries.
In Hanoi, currently, the total number of pensioners and social insurance beneficiaries in Hanoi is 595,620 cases with a total amount of VND 4,087 billion, of which 591,306 people receive through personal ATM accounts (reaching a rate of 99.28%) and 4,314 people receive cash at payment points.
To ensure the rights of the people, the Social Insurance of Region I has required banks to closely coordinate and execute money transfer orders quickly; at the same time, immediately handle cases of incorrect account information so that payment is not interrupted.
