According to Ca Mau Provincial Police, through the surveillance camera system, functional forces have detected 1,956 cases of traffic safety violations. Among them, motorbikes accounted for the majority with 1,849 cases, cars 107 cases; 355 violating vehicles came from outside the locality.
The main traffic violations are not complying with traffic lights, speeding. From the collected image data, functional agencies issued a decision to fine a total amount of more than 1.4 billion VND.

Representatives of the Traffic Police Department of Ca Mau Provincial Police said that the surveillance camera system operates continuously 24/24 hours, allowing recording violations without having to stop vehicles directly. This not only ensures objectivity and transparency in handling but also reduces pressure on patrol forces, limiting the risk of congestion and traffic accidents.
After extracting data, the Traffic Police Department coordinates with commune and ward police to verify and send notices to vehicle owners. This process is implemented in parallel with propaganda and reminders to raise awareness of law compliance and limit recidivism.
According to regulations, violators after receiving the notice must come to the Traffic Police Department for settlement within 7 working days. People can proactively look up violation information through the Traffic Police Department's system or the VNeTraffic application to fulfill their obligations according to regulations.
In the coming time, Ca Mau Provincial Police will continue to strengthen the exploitation of data from the surveillance camera system, closely combined with patrol, control and vehicle management to improve the efficiency of detecting and handling violations.
Functional agencies recommend that people raise awareness when participating in traffic, regularly check vehicle information to avoid violations. At the same time, it is necessary to be vigilant against "retroactive fine payment" scams in cyberspace, not to provide personal information or transfer money to unidentified subjects.
