According to information from Thai Nguyen City Police, in the first 9 months of 2024, through the surveillance camera system in the area, the authorities detected and reported over 4,000 traffic violations. Of which, 285 cases paid fines with a total amount of over 1.4 billion VND.
The main violations are not obeying traffic lights, crossing lines, and stopping and parking in the wrong place.
In addition to the traffic camera system, local authorities have also increased patrols, detected and issued administrative fines for nearly 6,800 cases, detained nearly 3,000 vehicles, and handled nearly 5,500 cases with a total fine of nearly 14 billion VND.
The application of traffic surveillance cameras has helped authorities promptly detect and handle violations, thereby raising people's awareness when participating in traffic.
According to statistics in the first 9 months of 2024, there were 484 traffic accidents in Thai Nguyen province, killing 80 people, injuring 476 people; property damage is estimated at over 5.1 billion VND.
Of which, there were 4 very serious traffic accidents, 102 serious accidents, 26 less serious accidents, 82 collisions - a decrease of 61 accidents (11.2%), 12 deaths (20.8%) and 95 injuries (16.6%) compared to the same period last year.
