On August 31, speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Tran Cang - Director of the Department of Finance of Gia Lai province - said that the unit had completed transferring more than 355 billion VND in National Day gifts of 2.9 (100,000 VND/person) to the accounts of 135 communes and wards in the province. This is the central budget allocated to 3.55 million Gia Lai people.
"Authorities of the provincial Department of Finance and the State Treasury worked through the night of August 30 to promptly complete the documents and procedures for money transfers. The Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Finance have issued documents urging localities to urgently pay gifts to people as soon as possible," said Mr. Cang.

Gia Lai is the second largest province in the country, with many remote areas, ethnic minorities accounting for a high proportion, and traffic is still difficult. Therefore, the payment organization has been implemented urgently by the authorities, striving to complete as soon as possible.
On the same day, Mr. Nguyen Duc Toan - Chairman of Quy Nhon Ward People's Committee - said that today the locality will complete the procedures and pay gifts through accounts to the people. Tomorrow (September 1), the ward will open 2 locations at 32 Nguyen Hue (ward People's Committee headquarters) and 47 Nguyen Hue (ward school group) to pay cash to the people.
"The locality sent staff to work through the ceremony to promptly pay the gifts to the people. According to the direction of the Central Government, the payment deadline is September 15, however, the ward tries to complete it for the people tomorrow," said Mr. Toan.
The People's Committee of Quy Nhon Nam Ward has also announced specific times and locations for the payment of gifts from the Government to all people. Accordingly, the payment will start from 1:30 p.m. on August 31 to the end of September 1 (7:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.).
The payment took place at 146 Can Vuong (ward People's Committee headquarters; Quarter 1 to 20); 70 Han Mac Tu (ward Party Committee headquarters; Quarter 20 to 25, and 121 Tay Son (ward Police headquarters; Quarter 26 to 33).
The People's Committee of the ward noted that when coming to receive gifts, people need to bring their ID card to compare the distribution list. In case they cannot receive it within the notice period, people can still go to the ward People's Committee headquarters (146 Can Vuong) to receive it, but no later than September 15.
"This is a meaningful gift from the Party and the State on the occasion of the National Day, I hope that people will arrange to come and receive it at the right time and place," the People's Committee of the ward stated.
