Quang Tri - After the decision to merge the province, hundreds of civil servants have quickly stabilized their work and shown high determination in performing their tasks.

Determination from the beginning

After the decision to merge Quang Tri and Quang Binh into Quang Tri province, hundreds of cadres, civil servants and public employees from many localities in the old Quang Tri province have set off to the administrative center located in Dong Hoi ward to receive work.

Mr. Le Viet Anh - a specialist of the Department of Sports Management under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province - is one of many officials who have to work more than 100km away from home.

Previously, he worked in Dong Ha city (old Quang Tri province). When taking on a new assignment at the provincial administrative center, he and his colleagues quickly arranged family work to be present on schedule.

"At first, I was confused, because of the new environment and having to be away from home, but we determined that this was a responsibility, a source of pride to contribute to building a new administrative foundation of the province," he shared.

In the first days of the work transfer, with the sharing of the staff and the close leadership of the Department's Board of Directors, the brothers quickly stabilized.

The staff and civil servants of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism of the old Quang Binh province also proactively welcomed, guided, and supported the new colleagues to quickly get into the rhythm of the work.

"We have been arranged with full offices and working equipment since the first days. Thanks to that, professional tasks are still guaranteed to progress without interruption, said Mr. Le Viet Anh.

Solidarity

In order to create a positive atmosphere and encourage the spirit of cadres away from home, industry leaders have launched many cultural, artistic and sports activities after work.

The exchanges, collective activities, volleyball, badminton matches, and cultural exchanges have helped the team of civil servants connect, share difficulties and maintain optimism.

Similarly, Ms. Ho Thi My Hanh - an officer of the Department of Home Affairs of Quang Tri province - also traveled more than 100km from Dong Ha ward to Dong Hoi to work.

"We have determined that we are ready and support each other in finding a place to live. The general spirit is not to let the merger delay the task," Ms. Hanh shared.

Together with other units, the Department of Home Affairs quickly deployed many major tasks such as reviewing the payroll, arranging the apparatus, and guiding departments and branches to complete personnel records. The Department's staff and civil servants all maintain a serious, urgent and highly determined attitude.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province, Ho Van Hoan, said that after the Provincial People's Committee issued a decision to establish a new department, the Board of Directors held a meeting with the entire sector, assigning specific tasks to each department.

"We thoroughly grasp the motto of getting to work right away, not being late for a day. Thanks to the application of digital transformation, the direction, operation and professional work are still taking place continuously, ensuring progress, Mr. Ho Van Hoan emphasized.

According to records, many cadres and civil servants of the old Quang Tri province have been proactive in their work. Local authorities and agencies have paid attention to arranging working facilities, creating all conditions for people to stabilize their lives and work with peace of mind.
