The investment project to build and renovate the old headquarters of Ninh Binh Provincial Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital has a scale of group B project (classified according to the criteria stipulated by the Law on Public Investment in 2019) and belongs to group II investment project with the designed capacity of the Traditional Medicine Hospital being 200 beds.
According to a representative of the leadership of Project Management Board No. 1 of Ninh Binh province (the project investor), after Ninh Binh Provincial Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital moved to a new headquarters, the old headquarters was abandoned for many years, causing waste. Many items, equipment, electricity and water systems, functional rooms... have deteriorated and been heavily damaged.
By 2024, Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee has decided to transfer and hand over 19,278.76m2 of land and 41,455.6m2 of floor area using the house of the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital (old) to Ninh Binh Provincial Traditional Medicine Hospital for management and use.
Ninh Binh Provincial People's Council has issued a Resolution on investment policy for the Project of Investment in Construction and Renovation of Ninh Binh Provincial Traditional Medicine Hospital (at the old Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital). The total land area used for the project is nearly 20,000m2, which is part of the land area in the premises of the old Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital and is identified as land for building medical facilities.
The project started in March 2025 with a total investment of 120 billion VND. Up to now, the construction volume has reached about 75%. Construction units have basically completed the rough construction of the buildings and are installing electrical and plumbing equipment. We are continuing to direct contractors to focus on accelerating progress to complete the project in September 2026" - representative of the leadership of Project Management Board No. 1 of Ninh Binh province said.
Present at the construction site of the Project to invest in construction and renovation of the old headquarters of Ninh Binh Provincial Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital on the afternoon of May 11, according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, many items of the project have been basically completed, at departments, rooms, and construction units are deploying the installation of household equipment, fans, air conditioners, sanitary equipment...
Outside the hospital grounds, the construction unit is urgently completing the drainage system, internal roads and paving the hospital's yard area... The relocation of 2 transformer stations in the hospital to another location is also being urgently completed by the construction unit.
