Recently, complicated weather has caused cracks and subsidence on Vi-ba hill in residential groups 10, 11, An Tuong ward (Tuyen Quang) to widen. Prolonged subsidence and high risk of landslides have made many households at the foot of the hill feel insecure.
Recorded by PV at the end of October 2025, Vi-ba hill has a steep slope, on the hill there are telecommunications works, below the hill is a high positive slope. After heavy rains, the Vi-ba hillside has many long and deep cracks, the landslide area has increased to more than 1ha, especially dangerous.

According to the reflection of households, since 2022, in the Vi-ba hill area (An Tuong ward), there have been landslides, forming cracks and subsidence on the hillside.
Mr. Dao Van Hao (An Tuong ward) said that in 2022, his family suffered hundreds of millions of VND in damage. At that time, rocks and soil from Vi-ba hill behind the house collapsed, burying the family's brick factory.
"Currently, the cracks are expanding, making people more worried. Hopefully, there will soon be a definitive solution to ensure the safety of people's lives and property. Because the constant risk of landslides is very dangerous," said Mr. Hao.

Sharing the same concern, Mr. Vu Duy Minh (An Tuong ward) said that the cracks appeared larger and longer, many places had landslides 5-7m deep, making people very worried. People hope that the government will soon have a solution to overcome this problem to feel secure in living and working in production.
On October 28, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Do Dinh Dat - Chairman of An Tuong Ward People's Committee said that the locality has had plans to propagate, mobilize, and warn people to avoid them. At the same time, stretch ropes, put up signs and regularly monitor.
"The ward has also reported to the Provincial People's Committee, the province has also declared an emergency situation and assigned the Department of Finance to consider and arrange resources to handle it thoroughly.
The ward has disseminated to each resident about how to recognize and prevent them. At the same time, send forces to be on duty and monitor regularly. In particular, on rainy and windy days, people are evacuated from dangerous areas," the leader added.

Previously, in August 2025, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province announced an emergency situation regarding natural disasters caused by landslides in residential groups 10, 11, An Tuong ward.
At that time, the cracks ran across the hillside and slide with a large amount of rock and soil (area of about 7,000 m2 and length of 700 m).
The blocks of landslides and rocks that sank from 3 to 5m risk burying the area below, endangering the lives, houses and property of more than 20 households and telecommunications works.
Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee has requested An Tuong Ward People's Committee to closely monitor the developments of rain, floods and landslides. Implement the placement of signs and zoning of dangerous areas; proactively implement measures to evacuate people and property to safe places.
At the same time, prepare appropriate forces, means, and equipment to support and respond when required, promptly report when an emergency situation occurs.
