Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Mr. Luong Quoc Doan affirmed: The first Central Party Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, term 2025 - 2030, is of great significance, a milestone affirming the political determination of all Party members and cadres in the Party Committee, towards building a clean and strong Party Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union; especially the role and responsibility in innovating and improving the quality of activities of the Vietnam Farmers' Union to meet the requirements of revolutionary tasks in the new period.
The report at the Congress stated that in the 2020 - 2025 term, the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union has achieved many outstanding results.
Party building work has been implemented synchronously and comprehensively in all aspects of politics, ideology, ethics, organization and cadres. The Party Committee has directed cadres and party members to advise on the successful implementation of the Union's work targets and the farmers' movement. Notable are the concretization of Resolution No. 46-NQ/TW of the Politburo on "Innovation and improvement of the quality of activities of the Vietnam Farmers' Union to meet the requirements of revolutionary tasks in the new period"; implementation of Decree No. 37/2023/ND-CP dated June 24, 2023 of the Government on the establishment, organization and operation of the Farmers' Support Fund, Decision No. 182/QD-TTg dated February 20, 2024 of the Prime Minister approving the Project "Vietnam Farmers' Union participating in collective economic development in agriculture until 2030"; promoting and improving the quality of the farmers' movement to compete in production and good business...
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Ngo Van Cuong praised and highly appreciated the outstanding results of the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union in the recent term.
According to Mr. Ngo Van Cuong, the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union has promoted its leadership role and excellently completed the assigned political tasks.
To successfully achieve the goals for the 2025-2030 term, Mr. Ngo Van Cuong suggested that the Congress and the Party Committee should focus on 5 key tasks:
First, continue to attach importance to Party building work in terms of politics, ideology, and ethics as a key and continuous task. Strengthen the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, resolutely fight against signs of degradation, "self-evolution", "self-transformation". In particular, it is necessary to do a good job of ideological work in the process of reorganizing and streamlining the apparatus.
Second, continue to build a united, clean and strong Party Committee; improve the leadership capacity, fighting spirit of the Party organization and the quality of the Party members. Strictly implement the principle of democratic centralism and innovation in cadre work, especially developing a team of young cadres with virtue and talent.
Third, strengthen the inspection, supervision and discipline of the Party. Innovate, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of inspection and supervision; proactively detect, warn, and prevent early and remote violations and negativity, especially in sensitive areas where violations are likely to arise.
Fourth, continue to innovate the leadership methods of Party committees at all levels in the direction of "clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities", associated with output results. Increase the application of information technology and digital transformation in Party work, gradually digitizing Party member data and work processes.
Fifth, strengthen leadership in implementing political tasks, focusing on innovating the content and methods of operation of the Association and the farmers' movement. Direct the effective implementation of Resolution 46 of the Politburo, Decision 182 of the Prime Minister and thematic resolutions, especially the synchronous and effective implementation of Resolution 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation and Resolution 68 of the Politburo on the development of the private economy...
The Congress announced the Decisions to appoint the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the Secretary, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and the Party Committee Inspection Committee for the 2025-2030 term. The decision appoints Ms. Phan Nhu Nguyen - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Party Executive Committee of the Fatherland Front of Central Trade Unions, Permanent Vice President of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union for the 2025-2030 term.
