On the afternoon of September 19, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Lam Dong province said that the unit had received proposals for locations for dumping excess materials from units related to the two expressway projects Bao Loc - Lien Khuong and Tan Phu (Dong Nai) - Bao Loc (Lam Dong).
The total demand for dumping excess materials during the construction of two highway projects in Lam Dong province is over 16.7 million m3.
Of which, the Bao Loc – Lien Khuong expressway project has over 11.8 million m3. The Tan Phu (Dong Nai) – Bao Loc (Lam Dong) expressway project has over 4.8 million m3 of excess materials that need a place to dump.
In response to the above demand, Phuong Trang Group Investment Joint Stock Company - representative of the investor of Bao Loc - Lien Khuong Expressway project proposed 68 locations, with a total storage volume of nearly 14 million m3. This basically meets the demand for storing excess materials.
As for the Tan Phu (Dong Nai) - Bao Loc (Lam Dong) expressway project, Deo Ca Joint Stock Company - the investor representative proposed 31 locations to dump excess materials with a total storage volume of 3 million m3.
However, the total storage volume of the proposed landfills still does not meet the dumping needs. Therefore, investors need to arrange additional locations to store all remaining surplus materials in the localities: Da Teh, Bao Lam, Da Huoai and Bao Loc City.
According to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, through assessment, most of the proposed locations for dumping excess materials are land of individuals and organizations that have been granted management and use rights, and the remaining small part is public land managed by the People's Committees of communes.
In order to have a basis to report to Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to agree on the dumping location for the above two expressway projects, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment requested the People's Committee of Bao Loc City and the People's Committees of Da Huoai, Da Teh, Bao Lam, Di Linh, Duc Trong districts to coordinate with the Department and the Provincial Traffic Project Management Board to conduct a field survey.
Thereby, evaluating all locations for dumping excess materials proposed by Deo Ca Joint Stock Company and Phuong Trang Group Investment Joint Stock Company.
In addition, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment recommends that localities continue to review and propose additional dumping locations if more suitable according to the criteria and requirements.
When selecting a dumping site, there must be a unified document for suitable locations as a basis for the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to synthesize and report to Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to issue a document agreeing on dumping sites according to regulations.
