Previously, the Can Tho City Party Committee held an online conference to assess the performance of communes and wards in the city after implementing the arrangement of administrative units. Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee Do Thanh Binh requested localities to urgently complete personnel work, ensuring the principle of "choosing people to work": Choose enough, choose correctly, in accordance with capacity and practical requirements. Localities with enough personnel should focus on training and fostering; Localities with shortages must supplement in a timely manner, absolutely not to interrupt operations or affect people's services.
