On December 13, Can Tho City People's Committee issued an official dispatch on strengthening the implementation of health insurance and social insurance policies in the last month of 2024.
According to the official dispatch, the Chairman of the City People's Committee assigned the Director of the City Social Insurance to preside over and coordinate with the Director of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, the Director of the Department of Health, the Chairmen of the People's Committees of districts and heads of relevant units to implement the contents according to Plan No. 72/KH-UBND dated March 4, 2024 of the City People's Committee on implementing the targets for developing participants in health insurance, compulsory social insurance, voluntary social insurance, unemployment insurance in 2024, regularly organizing propaganda and dissemination of policies and laws on social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance for employees, employers and people.
Publicize the list of units that are late in paying or evading social insurance and health insurance on mass media; Strengthen inspection of the management of participants and beneficiaries of social insurance and health insurance policies for payment organizations, collection service organizations and health insurance examination and treatment facilities.
The Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs shall preside over, guide, monitor, inspect and urge the implementation of the targets for developing social insurance participants in accordance with regulations; Update and grasp the number of licensed enterprises in operation and employees subject to compulsory social insurance participation to promptly guide units, enterprises and employees to implement the provisions of the Law on Social Insurance.
The unit also needs to regularly exchange and provide information on the situation of labor use and changes, wages of enterprises in the area to the City Social Insurance for comparison, requiring employers to fully participate in compulsory social insurance for employees; Regularly have direct dialogues with employees and employers to explain and guide new regulations of social insurance policies, in order to support, remove difficulties and obstacles, promptly detect and prevent fraud, profiteering, late payment, and evasion of compulsory social insurance.
The Director of the Department of Health shall preside over and coordinate with the City Social Insurance and related units, the Chairman of the District People's Committee to advise and propose solutions to strengthen the implementation of developing health insurance participants to ensure the achievement of targets; Strengthen the direction of medical facilities under the Department of Health to complete medical supplies and equipment to better serve the medical examination and treatment of people.
The Chairman of the District People's Committee focused on leading and directing the Party Committees, commune, ward and town authorities to speed up progress to achieve the target of developing participants in health insurance, compulsory social insurance, voluntary social insurance and unemployment insurance in 2024.
