This statement was made by Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc He at the Dialogue between the government and enterprises in Can Tho City held on December 13.
According to the report of the Department of Planning and Investment of Can Tho City, in 2024, the City will effectively implement the Government's support policies such as taxes, bank interest rates, continue to remove support for businesses, and implement many stimulus policies, contributing to economic recovery and development, and is expected to regain growth momentum as in the period before the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to the achieved results, the city's socio-economic situation still faces many difficulties and limitations, such as the estimated GRDP growth rate of 7.12%, not reaching the target set by the Resolution of the year (7.5 - 8%); the recovery in industries and fields is uneven, the production and business situation of industrial and export enterprises is still facing difficulties, etc.
At the seminar, participating enterprises contributed many opinions and recommendations, which were received and answered by relevant departments and branches.
Speaking at the seminar, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc He said that the opinions, discussions, and proposals of enterprises are important, contributing to helping the authorities and specialized agencies of the city to be closer, more connected and understand the difficulties of enterprises, thereby sharing and providing active support in the coming time.
To continue to perform the task of serving enterprises in administrative matters as well as supporting enterprises in possible activities according to the law, the City People's Committee assigned the Department Director and Heads of relevant professional agencies to pay more specific and practical attention to the issues raised by enterprises.
“What has been explained, explain and guide immediately. For issues that have not been explained at the seminar, respond in writing within 3 days, send and reply to the enterprise. After responding, the units should take specific actions to support and help the enterprise in the condition that the enterprise has satisfactory proposals; promptly propose to the People's Committee of Can Tho City to resolve issues within their authority,” Mr. He emphasized.
The City People's Committee also assigned the Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones Management Board to preside over and coordinate with the Can Tho Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction Joint Stock Company to proactively work and listen to the thoughts and aspirations of enterprises. From there, consider and promptly and promptly resolve difficulties, problems and proposals of enterprises and report to the City People's Committee on issues within its authority.
Assign the Department Director, Heads of specialized agencies of the City People's Committee and the People's Committees of districts to maintain and organize dialogues between their units and enterprises, cooperatives, and business households in the area at least twice a year. From there, integrate with the propaganda work of the socio-economic development strategies of the City as well as the whole country, disseminate new laws, circulars, and instructions so that enterprises have the conditions to access and implement correctly, promptly resolve difficulties and problems that arise.
