Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh Tan Ward People's Committee and investor urgently warn people not to arbitrarily enter Suoi Cai area to catch snails and fish.

In the afternoon of September 13, the northern area of Ho Chi Minh City continued to experience prolonged heavy rain. In the Suoi Cai area (through Vinh Tan, Binh Duong, Tan Hiep, Tan Khanh wards), a very large amount of water from upstream was received.

In the above context, in the afternoon of the same day, Vinh Tan Ward People's Committee issued an urgent warning about ensuring the safety of people's lives and property during the rainy and flood season in the suburban area of the Suoi Cai dredging and reinforcement project section passing through Vinh Tan ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

Vinh Tan Ward People's Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor of the Suoi Cai reinforcement and dredging project) urgently request people to strictly comply with safety measures.

It is requested that people absolutely do not move into the construction site, do not pass by or enter the construction site area of the Suoi Cai dredging and reinforcement project during the rainy and flood season.

It is strictly forbidden for people, especially young children, to enter the construction site area to fish, catch fish, catch snails, bathe, and graze livestock.

It is recommended that people stay away from deep flooded areas, do not intentionally pass through or wade into dangerous flooded areas.

Previously, on September 10, prolonged heavy rain caused widespread flooding in many areas of Suoi Cai. On September 11, in the Suoi Cai area (near package No. 4, Suoi Cai dredging and reinforcement project, belonging to Tan Hiep ward), a painful drowning incident occurred, killing 1 person. The cause was self-inflicted into deep water to catch snails.
