At noon on August 24, Mr. Nguyen Van Trinh - Chairman of Da Huoai 3 Commune People's Committee (Lam Dong) - said that rescue forces had found the body of Mr. K'Mai (36 years old, residing in the locality) on the Da Huoai River.
Previously, at about 10 pm on August 23, local authorities received a report from the family about Mr. K'Mai going fishing but not returning.

According to initial information, at about 5 pm on the same day, Mr. K'Mai went fishing alone on the Da Huoai River, passing through hamlet 1, Da Huoai 3 commune.
Relatives said that at the time of leaving home, he did not drink alcohol, did not bring a phone and flashlight. In the evening, not seeing him return, the family reported to the local authorities.
Immediately after that, Da Huoai 3 Commune People's Committee mobilized police and military forces to coordinate with Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Team Area 5 (Lam Dong Police), people and families to organize searches.

Functional forces followed Mr. K'Mãi's movement direction and discovered that the victim's motorbike was still on the shore, suspected of being swept away by the water and missing.
After many hours, rescue forces discovered Mr. K'Mai's body on the Da Huoai River, about 2km from the accident area.
Currently, functional agencies are completing procedures to hand over the victim's body to the family for funeral arrangements. The cause of the incident is being clarified by functional agencies.
