On April 28th, the Management Board of Relics and Tourism Development of Bao Ha commune informed that recently in the temple area, some individuals claiming to be shamans and sorcerers have been performing the act of writing and drawing numbers on money and petitions; placing offerings to ask for fortune sticks, even guiding people to ask for lottery numbers under the spiritual guise.
Talking to reporters, a representative of the Bao Ha Commune Relic and Tourism Development Management Board said that this is an offensive act, distorting traditional religious values, turning spiritual activities into tools for profiteering.
These manifestations not only negatively affect the image of the relic but also lose the inherent solemnity and solemnity of the place of worship.
Notably, the above acts show signs of violating the law. Taking advantage of beliefs for profit, organizing fortune-telling, propagating superstition or guiding disguised gambling can be administratively sanctioned in the fields of culture, beliefs, and festivals.

In case of arising elements of organizing gambling, gambling dens, and attracting participants, they may be handled according to the provisions of criminal law.
The Management Board of Relics and Tourism Development of Bao Ha commune requests people and tourists not to participate, not to believe, not to assist in the acts of asking for numbers, disguised fortune-telling; and at the same time not to use the services of superstitious practitioners in the relic area.
Along with that, people are advised to proactively report to the Management Board or functional forces when violations are detected for timely handling.
On the management unit's side, the clear viewpoint is to resolutely detect, prevent, make records and coordinate with functional agencies to strictly handle violations according to regulations, and at the same time strengthen inspection and rectification of religious activities at relics.
