According to Ha Tinh Registration Joint Stock Company, the Company has recently received feedback from people about scammers taking advantage of the name of the unit and the inspection centers under the unit to commit fraud and appropriate property.
Fraudsters can call or text to impersonate employees of Ha Tinh Inspection Joint Stock Company to inform the vehicle that it needs to "issued an electronic inspection certificate", "reissued the inspection book" or "updated data" to avoid being fined.
Then, they ask the vehicle owner to access strange links providing personal information, bank accounts or make transfers to defraud and appropriate the vehicle owner's money.
Ha Tinh Registration Joint Stock Company affirmed that the company does not make private calls or text messages to people to request the provision of bank account information, OTP codes or to conduct money transfer transactions.
All procedures for issuing, exchanging and reissuing inspection certificates are only carried out directly at the centers according to regulations. Therefore, people need to be vigilant against having strange phone numbers calling and texting about requesting the issuance and exchange of inspection stamps online.
Absolutely do not provide personal information, bank accounts, passwords, OTP codes to any individual calling or texting claiming to be an inspector; be vigilant, do not click on strange links of unknown origin.
In case of receiving suspicious calls or messages, vehicle owners should call the vehicle inspection centers directly to verify to avoid falling into online scams.
