The expressway of Ring Road 4 HCMC project is expected to start construction on September 2nd

Ho Chi Minh City - Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction said that the core section of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project will be started on September 2nd.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, to date, all 5 component projects using investment capital of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project have had their feasibility study reports approved. For 5 component projects invested under the PPP method, localities have approved feasibility study reports for 3 projects, and 2 projects have been appraised.

Regarding site clearance work, localities are urgently organizing implementation to ensure progress as required. As a result, so far, localities have approved compensation and resettlement support plans, are paying money to affected households and handing over a part of the site reaching 30 - 50%. The recovered site ensures construction conditions.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, the City People's Committee has directed that the core section of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project is expected to start construction on September 2. Currently, the Traffic Board is implementing relevant procedures to meet the required progress.

It is known that the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project is about 207 km long, passing through Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh (after the merger). The total investment of the project is more than 1,204 billion VND. After merging with Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Binh Duong, the length of the route passing through Ho Chi Minh City increased from about 17 km to nearly 83 km - the longest on the entire route.

In phase 1, the route is invested with a scale of 4 expressway lanes (design speed of 100 km/h). Site clearance is carried out on a scale of 8 lanes, creating a reserve land fund for future expansion.
